Forge
Your Own
The six great banners are just the ones you see most often. Nova Eden is full of outfits nobody has heard of yet, and the custom faction toolkit will let you put yours on the table: your lore, your fighters, your terrible decisions.
Six banners. Thousands of stories.
The Iron Pact, the Covenant, the Splice, the Protocol, the Veil, the Clades: these are simply the banners common enough to have a reputation. Between them, Nova Eden is crowded with smaller powers. A settlement that armed itself and never looked back. A cult of nine people and one very persuasive prophet. A crew that exists only as long as its rig keeps rolling.
Some of these outfits hold a single water tower and would die for it. Some are one family, three generations deep in the same bunker. Some are a lone warband with a name whispered along the trade routes and no fixed address. The ruins do not check your credentials before handing you a fight.
The custom faction toolkit is being built for exactly these stories: the banner only your table has ever seen.
"The ruins do not check your credentials."
What could yours look like?
No rules yet, that's the point of the wait. But if you need a push, here are the kinds of outfits the toolkit is being built to handle. Steal freely.
The Deep Clans
Miners who sealed their vault-tunnels during the Collapse and kept digging. Short, armoured, magnificently bearded, and emerging decades later in powered rigs to find the surface has been redecorated. Sci-fi dwarfs. You know you want to.
The Ledger
Collections agents of the old colonial bank, still enforcing pre-Collapse contracts at gunpoint. They arrive with paperwork, read the terms aloud, and take payment in salvage, labour, or knees. Interest has been accruing for sixty years.
The Storm Riders
Glider nomads who follow the weather fronts across the plains, raiding in the chaos of the squall and gone before the sky clears. Their settlements are wherever the wind parked them.
The Drove
Machine herders who drive a tide of feral automata across the plains like cattle, selling salvage rights along the route. The herd obeys the whistles. Mostly.
The Shoal
Divers who work the flooded districts, surfacing with relics nobody else can reach. Pressure suits repurposed as armour and a quiet rule: what the water gives, the Shoal keeps.
The Nursery
Raised from birth by caretaker machines in a sealed creche, they emerged as hardened fighters whose guardians still hover at their shoulders, enforcing meal times and opening fire on anything that threatens the children.
What the toolkit will do
The rules are still in the forge, and we won't show them until they've survived playtesting. But the intent is set:
Your banner belongs on this wall
The forge opens after the toolkit survives playtesting. Join the muster list to hear the moment it does, and bring us your Deep Clans, your Choirs, your one heavily armed cul-de-sac. We are genuinely excited to see what you make.
